Civil, Corporate & Commercial Litigation

We represent parties in high stake Civil, Corporate and Commercial disputes across the country. We also specialize in consumer disputes, contractual disputes, insurance disputes, anti-suit injunctions, suits for tortious interference, real estate disputes, defamation cases etc. We have regular presence before various Courts, quasi-judicial authorities, and tribunals, inter alia, Supreme Court of India, High Courts of various States, District Courts, National Company Law Tribunal, Banking Tribunals, Environmental Tribunals, Competition Commission, Consumer Commissions.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment

Members of our Core Team have been practicing the law relating to the prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace, well before the relevant statute i.e. The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 came into being. Our team has advised clients on setting up of safe and congenial workplace environment. We have drafted internal policies for the clients and conducted seminars, awareness programmes and sensitization workshops for employees of the clients on Workplace appropriate behaviour.

Additionally, we have advised and assisted clients in setting up Internal Committee (ICs) and conducting enquiry(ies) as an external member into complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace, documentation of the enquiry process and arriving at findings in complaint cases, drafting and / or reviewing of the findings report and providing guidance on the steps that follow the conclusion of the enquiry process. 

Protection of Children from Sexual Offences

Our team at C&S Partners renders legal services relating to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 ('POCSO Act') to our clients, which include educational institutions and other entities. Our legal and advisory services  cover various aspects of  the POCSO Act including :

• Formulation and drafting of policies for the safeguarding and protection of children.

• Assistance and advisory services pertaining to compliances as mandated under the POCSO Act, guidelines and notifications issued by the state and central government.

• Guidance and advisory services pertaining to issues arising in connection with the POCSO Act.

• Conducting awareness and sensitization sessions for our clients to equip them to perform their roles and obligations as required under the POCSO Act.

Insolvency

Our team has been at the forefront of high-profile insolvency resolution processes and has been a part of resolution of some of the ‘Dirty Dozen’ assets including the resolution of Bhushan Steel, Amtek Auto & Essar Steel, among others. The team also advised one of the stakeholders in the first telecom sector insolvency.

Our Insolvency practice offers comprehensive assistance to creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders in navigating the insolvency and bankruptcy landscape. Projects, Energy, and Infrastructure  

In the Projects practice at the firm, we provide strategic counsel to clients in respect of regulatory aspects of various projects across sectors such as Power, Renewable Energy, Airports, Highways, Metro Rail Projects among others. Counsels at the firm have advised contractors, sponsors and lenders on project development and financing in infrastructure and energy sectors. Further, the Counsels have advised prospective bidders in relation to various bids for solar power projects invited as part of the National Solar Mission and certain state tenders.
